When is the TSMC Museum of Innovation open?

The TSMC Museum of Innovation is open at the following times:
Monday~Friday: 09:00~12:00、13:00~17:00 Saturday: 09:30~12:00、13:00~17:00
Closed: Sundays, national holidays, and other days that will be officially announced

At present, reservations are required for admission to the Museum. Reservations can be made online (www.tsmcmoi.com) or by phone (886-3-5636968).

Reminder: Online reservations can be made 24 hours a day for reservations starting the next day to the end of the next month. Please complete your reservation before noon on the day prior to your visit.

Is the admission free to the TSMC Museum of Innovation? Do I need to make a reservation?

Admission to the Museum is free. At present, reservations are required. To make your reservations, please go to the Online Reservation page of the museum's website.

Reminder: Online reservations can be made 24 hours a day for reservations starting the next day to the end of the next month. Please complete your reservation before noon on the day prior to your visit.

All of the tours currently available are full. When will new tours be available for reservation?

We apologize that the tours for this month and the next are full. The exhibits in the Museum are permanent. You can make reservations for the new tours beginning at 9 AM on the first of next month. Thank you very much for your patience.

How can I be sure that my reservation has been completed successfully?

Your reservation is successfully completed when you see the message "Your reservation is successfully completed!" The system will also send a confirmation to your e-mail address. Please provide your reservation information (including the reservation code) to museum personnel upon entry. We also suggest that you use the My Reservation function after making your reservation to check whether your reservation date/time is correct.

Reminder: We do not send individual notifications regarding unsuccessful logins and queries caused by incorrect information given during the reservation process. If you cannot log in to view your reservation, please call our service line at 886-3-5636968.

Does the Museum sell any souvenirs?

TSMC Museum of Innovation does not sell souvenirs at this moment. However, we offer souvenirs through various activities onsite. You are welcomed to participate.

What do I do if I have forgotten my online reservation code?

You can look up your reservation code on the twenty-four-hour online reservation website by typing in the cell phone number and e-mail address that you provided when making your reservation. Or please call our service line at 886-3-5636968.

Can I look up my reservation code online with only either my cell phone number or my e-mail address?

Please provide your cell phone number of e-mail address, the time of the tour you reserved, and the name of the contact person. We will look it up on the system and get back to you as soon as possible.

How do I cancel my reservation if I cannot make it to the Museum?

If you would like to cancel your reservation, please cancel it online before noon on the day prior to the reserved date. To protect other visitors' interests, those who fail to show at the reserved time 3 times without prior notice or cancelation beforehand will be unable to make reservations in the future, and any other reservations made will be cancelled automatically.

Does the Museum have a waitlist or allow walk-in visitors if someone does not show up for their tour or cancel their reservation beforehand? What happens if a reservation is not made according to regulations?

To protect the rights of other visitors, we urge that cancelations be made before noon on the day prior to the reserved date. In the event of a cancelation, the system will display the quota available for other visitors. At present, we do not have waitlists or allow walk-in visitors. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. Individuals who fail to show at the reserved time without prior notice or cancelation beforehand for three or more times within a year will be unable to make reservations in the future, and any other reservations made by said individual will be cancelled automatically.

How long is a tour?

Each visit duration will be 80 minutes, including a 40-50 minute Guided Tour by professional docent from the museum, or a 30 minute tour with an Audio Guide. If you cannot arrive on time, your visit will be shortened. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Do I need to check-in before my visit? What documents do I need to bring? How early do I have to show up?

Please provide your reservation code to museum personnel upon entry. Also, we suggest that you arrive 10 minutes ahead of time to complete the check-in process.

Is there an age restriction for visitors?

To maintain visit quality and safety, only visitors who are age 7 and above are allowed in the Museum. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

How do I apply for group visits? Is there a limit to the number of people in a group?

At present, reservations are required for admission to the Museum. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. For parties containing between 1 and 15 people, please make your reservation directly on the Online Reservation page on the museum's website. For large groups with more than 15 people, please call us at 886-3-5636968 directly, or send us an e-mail to service@tsmcmoi.com.

Why are the tours so small, with only 15 people for each session?

Does the TSMC Museum of Innovation plan to expand the Museum and increase the number of people in each tour in the future?

Are there guided tours? What languages are the guided tours available in?

The Museum provides Guided Tour in Mandarin and English, and Audio Guide Tour in Mandarin, English, and Japanese.

TSMC already has "The World of Semiconductor" exhibit in the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung. How is the TSMC Museum of Innovation different from that exhibit?

The "The World of Semiconductor" exhibit was a collaboration between the TSMC Foundation and the National Museum of Natural Science. The objective of this exhibit is to promote popular science education and give the public a basic understanding of the connections between the semiconductor industry and everyday life.

How do I get to the TSMC Museum of Innovation? Is there parking available nearby?

Please refer to the Getting Here for transportation. The Museum provides free parking lots for visitors who book their visits in advance. Please present your reservation form to parking personnel at the parking lot entrance. However, due to a limited number of parking spaces, we cannot guarantee vacancy. If the parking lots are full, please find a parking space in the area surrounding the Museum. Please also note that your vehicle may only enter the parking lot 30 minutes before the time of your reservation. After your visit, please drive your vehicle out of the parking lot within 30 minutes. How long does it take to walk from the parking lot of the Museum to the Museum?

The walk from the parking lot to the Museum takes approximately five minutes. On rainy days, we suggest that you drop off your companions at the entrance of the Museum before parking your car. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.

Are eating and drinking allowed in the Museum?

To maximize visit quality, please do not eat, drink, smoke, chew gum, or chew betel nuts within the museum.

Are there facilities for people with reduced mobility?

The Museum is equipped with accessible ramps and restrooms.

Are there wheelchair rentals available?

Due to limited space, we do not provide wheelchair rentals. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Are guide dogs allowed in the Museum?

Guide dogs on duty are allowed in the Museum, but no other pets are allowed on the premises. We suggest that visitors with pets make reservations for pet sitting at a pet hotel nearby.

Are sign language or braille guided tours available?

At present, there are no sign language or braille guided tours available in the Museum. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Is photography or video recording allowed in the Museum?

Although photography is allowed in the Museum, flash photography, selfie sticks, monopods, tripods, and video or audio recording are not permitted. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We also encourage visitors to take advantage of our group photo spot located in front of the Museum's entrance.

Is there a spot for group photos available?
